Exelon Pavilions- Millennium Park
The governing plan, is reintroduced in section as a means to further organize the spatial logic of the building. This allows large double-height glazed public lobbies to be situated diagonally from one another in plan, elevation and section. This design further expresses the interior functions of the building through a grid of photovoltaic clad punched openings and vision glazing to delineate functional spaces. The pavilions are components of a larger ensemble that received the AIA National Honor Award for excellence in design. The building received a LEED Silver certification.
